The base of the bugs are standard NFC tags (NTAG215). Tapping the top of the bug with your NFC-enabled phone activates the tag and can be used in many different ways eg. the free Not Far Comms web app, home automations, providing your contact info/social media, connecting to WIFI/BLUETOOTH securely, Internet of Things (IoT) projects etc.

These kawaii-inspired NFC tags come in 5 different colours and 5 expressions to choose from (see Listing Images): Chill, Yay!, Happy, Smirk, Cheeky.

The intensity of the glow varies by colour, the highest intensity starts with Green, then Blue, Yellow, Orange, Pink.

Each NFC Bug is approximately 28mm in diameter and 10mm high.

Free Android App: The Android web app can be used without downloading (a link will be provided). Tap the NFC tag to your phone to display a new random FACT, DAD JOKE, CAT PHOTO, DOG PHOTO, DUCK PHOTO. NOT available on iPhones — blame Apple!

Glow-in-the-Dark: The phosphorescent material is charged with any kind of light, including daylight. After charging these NFC tags are easily visible in low light for convenient nighttime indoor and outdoor use.
